We woke to more snow on the ground. The area was really pretty with the low clouds on the nearby mountains. We planned to spend the day caching until other cachers arrived in the late afternoon.
Of course we brought our trusty companion along, Zar. We also brought along a new TB, "Faith", that we found in a new cache last week that a 7 yr old launched. She is following it's travels with lots of excitement, so we thought we would add to her pleasure by taking it to the Bash with us.
We headed out for some caching long about 8:30 am. Our goal was to do as many caches along the Mt Graham Rd 366 as we could. Many of them required some hiking, as did the "Dam". When we got near the cache we were very pleased to see a dam that the CCC had built in the 1930's, and the stream (more like a river) was flowing strong from all the rain showers and snow melt. Unfortunately the cache was on the far side of the stream and we couldn't find a way to rock-hop across. The water was way too cold and deep to try to wade across. So we posted a DNF (did not find) and promised to return another day.
We found several more as we climbed higher & higher up Mt Graham. Around 6000 ft the showers turned into a regular snow storm. I stayed in the car as Lee went after the "Throne" before we headed back down.
Back to the RV to get cleaned up before heading into Willcox to have supper with other cachers at a Mexican restaurant. Of course we picked up a few more caches on the way back to the Pass for the night.
