Tracy, Tricia and friend Don. Several of their friends went to La Jolla Cove for a swim race in the ocean. These three did the one mile race while the others did the 3 mile race. Quote Tracy: "La Jolla for the Rough Water Swim. Only doing the 1 mile race instead of the 3 miler. Since this is my first open water ocean swim since I was a kid playing in the surf, I didn't want to try the "Gatorman" distance. LOL"
Tracy: "La Jolla Rough Water 1 mile course. Looking over the cove, trying to pick out those buoys WAY out there. 800 yards is a long way when it's a straight line. We are use to thinking about it as 16 laps. Now where's the pool side to push off from?"
Tricia in green suit. Quote Tracy: "My best friend and hot wife ready to hit the course! She was a little nervous, but as usual kicked the crap out the race. I don't know how she does it!"

Racing in from the course to stop the clock at 38 minutes. I'm so proud of her.
Tricia quote: "A really new experience, just competing in a swim only AND in the ocean. Both firsts. I had a great swim, stayed on course for the most part, was cold but not uncomfortable, felt as though I had a negative split and just really enjoyed the freedom of the ocean. Next year I'll try the 3 mile."
Tricia's wave headed out.
Tracy: "I'm thinking ... "Okay, relax, relax, this is nothing relax, relax ... GOD I HAVE TO PEE!" Don's just saying, "This is cool, reminds me of Kona, except for the temperature, the visibility, oh yeah and it's only a swim ... Okay it doesn't remind me of Kona!" Tracy in black trunks & top.
Tracy: "I'm looking for Nemo again, but never did see him. I didn't get kicked or hit on the start but around the buoys I got ran over by the third wave (50 year old and above). Yes the "old guys" beat me too!" --- "Great swim! Had a great time, in fact when I hit the beach at 46 minutes I said "let's do it again".
Tracy: "This was the scene ALL the way home! She got PLENTY of rest."
