Since our granddaughter's Ranch Sorting was cancelled for the day and we planned to be over on the west side of town anyway, we decided to go caching. We wanted a good leg stretcher and Brown Mountain seemed the perfect spot. There were several caches along the trail; spaced far enough apart for good rest stops that made the climb up seem "short" and not so tough.
AS we neared the top we saw a very interesting saguaro whose two arms drooped downward almost to the ground then started curving upward. The crook seemed to be holding babies in their arms.
Once we reached the top and final cache, we paused for a moment for a snack and "go-juice". Plus we enjoyed the beautiful views all around us.
